Prerequisites:

    2 x Junior 1000-level English units (12 credit points)

  2. Assumed Knowledge: - 

    English language proficiency; English essay writing proficiency; evidence of creative writing ability (if do not have prerequisites)

Description

This unit fosters students’ practice and knowledge of creative writing through interactive workshops, seminars and lectures led by established writers and academics. The emphasis is on writing as a creative mode of intellectual, historical and aesthetic engagement with the contemporary.

Assessment

1 x 500 word workshop piece; 1 x 100 word portfolio of creative work; 1 x 1500 work portfolio of creative work; 1 x 1500 word research essay.
